FAQs.

  • Osteopathy is a hands-on approach to healthcare that focuses on treating the body as a whole. Rather than just addressing symptoms, we focus on finding the cause of pain and dysfunction. Osteopaths use a range of techniques including soft tissue massage, joint mobilisation, manipulation, stretching, dry needling, cupping and exercise rehabilitation to improve function, reduce pain, prevent future injuries and help you feel your best. • Your first appointment is all about understanding your concerns and how we can help. Here’s what to expect:

    1. Case history - we’ll start by having a chat about your symptoms and concerns, as well as your medical history and lifestyle. This helps us get a full picture of what might be contributing to your pain or discomfort.

    2. Physical assessment - Next, we’ll assess your posture, movement, and any areas of restriction. This usually involves some gentle movements and testing to help us pin point the cause of the issue.

    3. Hands-on treatment - based on our assessment, we’ll give an osteopathic treatment, which may include a mix of different treatment styles, tailored specifically to your needs and preferences.

    4. Treatment plan & education - we’ll discuss a plan moving forwards, including self-care, exercises and lifestyle modifications to help you maintain progress between appointments. Our goal is to empower you with the knowledge and tools to manage your health effectively.

We allow up to 60 minutes for your initial consultation, allowing us plenty of time to assess, treat, and discuss your care.

Please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing so we can assess and treat you with ease.

  • Initial consult (60 mins) - $142.00

    * Concession rates also available for those with a pension, seniors or healthcare concession card.

  • No, you don’t need a referral to see an osteopath. We are primary healthcare providers, meaning you can book an appointment directly. However, in some cases, a referral may be required:

    • Medicare rebates - if you are eligible for a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan (formerly EPC), your GP can provide a referral for Medicare-subsidised treatments.

    • Veterans Affairs (DVA) - DVA patients will need a referral (D904) from their GP for osteopathic care.

    • Workers’ Compensation - some insurance claims may require a referral for coverage.

  • Yes, we accept private health insurance! If you have extras cover that includes osteopathy, you may be eligible for a rebate on your appointment. We offer HICAPS for on-the-spot claims, so you only need to pay the gap amount. Bring your physical or digital card to your appointment for easy processing. The rebate amount depends on your individual cover, so check with your provider for details.
